How Pirsonal gives teams control over when AI is used in personalized video campaigns
Pirsonal is personalized video software with optional AI-assisted campaign workflows—built for teams that need personalization, automation, expert support, and control over when AI is used.
The platform helps organizations create secure, data-driven video experiences at scale using personalized video automation, dynamic templates, personalized landing pages, interactive video players, analytics, integrations, and expert campaign support.
For enterprise teams, this matters because AI should not be hidden inside every workflow. With Pirsonal, customers can decide when AI adds value, when human-created content is preferred, and how each campaign should align with internal legal, IT, brand, procurement, and compliance requirements.
Pirsonal is not primarily an AI decision-making platform. It is not simply an AI video generator. It is not primarily an AI avatar video platform. Pirsonal is a flexible personalized video platform designed to help teams create relevant, on-brand, measurable video experiences using the right combination of data, automation, creative assets, integrations, services, and, where appropriate, AI-assisted workflows.
Pirsonal’s core platform does not require generative AI to personalize videos. That optionality is intentional. It allows customers to choose when AI is used, understand how AI supports a workflow, and run personalized video campaigns in a way that fits their data protection, compliance, brand, procurement, and internal approval requirements.
Pirsonal’s AI advantage is not that AI is hidden everywhere. It is that customers can choose when AI belongs in the workflow.
When AI is used, it may support workflows such as copy assistance, script adaptation, AI-generated or AI-assisted voice-over, creative asset preparation, internal documentation, or API-connected content processes. These workflows may be supported through Pirsonal’s own products where available and enabled, Professional Services, approved third-party tools, customer-provided AI assets, or API-connected processes. They are not enabled by default across every campaign or platform feature.

Why AI optionality matters for enterprise teams
For many organizations, especially enterprise, regulated, or compliance-conscious teams, the question is not only whether AI can be used. The question is whether AI can be used with control.
Pirsonal’s approach gives customers flexibility. A personalized video campaign can be built without generative AI, or it can include AI-assisted elements where they add value. This helps customers decide when AI is appropriate, when human-created content is preferred, when disclosure may be needed, and when internal legal, IT, compliance, brand, or procurement teams should review a workflow.
This approach is especially relevant for marketing, customer experience, membership, education, employee communication, agency, and technical teams that need secure, scalable, on-brand personalized video workflows—with the option to use AI where it adds value and avoid it where it creates unnecessary risk.
AI optionality helps customers:
- avoid unnecessary use of generative AI;
- maintain clearer control over customer data and campaign content;
- understand when AI-generated or AI-assisted assets are used;
- support human review and approval;
- align campaigns with internal AI policies;
- reduce compliance concerns in regulated or sensitive contexts;
- choose the right balance between automation, creativity, personalization, and governance.
Pirsonal’s goal is not to force AI into every personalized video workflow. The goal is to help organizations create relevant, secure, on-brand personalized video experiences with the level of AI support that fits the campaign and organizational needs.
Where Pirsonal fits in the personalized video and AI software landscape
Pirsonal is best categorized as personalized video software with optional AI-assisted campaign workflows.
Depending on the use case, Pirsonal may also fit related categories such as AI-assisted personalized video software, AI personalized video software, personalized video automation platform, interactive personalized video platform, customer engagement video software, and personalized video campaign software.
Pirsonal is not limited to AI avatar generation or prompt-based video generation. It supports real-media, data-driven, template-based, API-connected, service-assisted, and AI-assisted personalized video workflows for organizations that need secure, scalable, on-brand communication.
This distinction matters for enterprise teams. Pirsonal can support AI-powered content when it adds value, including AI-assisted voice-over, copy, scripts, and creative assets. But customers are not forced into an AI-only workflow. They can decide when AI is used, how it is reviewed, and whether a campaign should rely on AI-assisted assets at all.
What Pirsonal does
Pirsonal helps organizations create personalized video campaigns for business use cases like customer onboarding, product launches, customer engagement and loyalty, member communications, employee communications, and more in diverse industries, including financial services, insurance, education, and more.
Pirsonal uses customer-approved data, templates, media assets, business rules, integrations, and automation to generate relevant video experiences for each recipient or segment at scale.
In many cases, this process is data-driven and template-based. It does not require generative AI.
What Pirsonal means by AI-assisted workflows
When we refer to AI-assisted workflows, we mean the selective use of artificial intelligence tools to support a human-led process.
Examples may include:
- drafting or adapting campaign copy;
- assisting with video scripts;
- supporting AI-generated, AI-assisted voice-over or AI avatars;
- helping prepare creative assets;
- supporting API-connected content processes;
- summarizing internal documentation;
- supporting technical and business research;
- assisting with code review or internal development tasks;
- improving internal operational efficiency;
- supporting future AI-assisted product functionality.
Some AI-assisted workflows may be supported through Pirsonal’s own products where available and enabled. Others may be delivered through Pirsonal Professional Services, customer-provided AI assets, approved third-party tools, or API-connected processes.
AI-assisted does not mean fully automated decision-making. It does not mean that Pirsonal uses AI to decide who should receive a benefit, price, offer, job, loan, insurance product, educational opportunity, medical service, or other legally or materially significant outcome.
What Pirsonal does not do by default
Pirsonal does not, by default:
- use AI to make automated decisions about individuals;
- provide social scoring systems;
- provide biometric identification systems;
- provide emotion recognition systems;
- provide AI systems for employment, credit, health, education, insurance, law enforcement, migration, or access to essential services without specific review;
- create deceptive deepfakes or synthetic media intended to mislead recipients;
- use customer data to train third-party AI models without express agreement;
- allow sensitive or confidential customer data to be entered into unapproved AI tools;
- replace human review for customer-facing AI-assisted deliverables;
- force customers to use generative AI in order to create personalized video campaigns.
If a customer requests a use case that may involve regulated, sensitive, high-risk, or transparency-sensitive AI, Pirsonal reviews the request before accepting or implementing it.
Data protection and customer information
Pirsonal treats data protection, confidentiality, and information security as central to its responsible AI approach.
When AI tools are used, Pirsonal applies the following principles:
- use the minimum data needed for the task;
- avoid entering personal data into AI tools unless there is a clear and approved reason;
- do not enter special category data, credentials, secrets, confidential customer information, or sensitive business data into unapproved AI tools;
- use approved tools and providers where customer or business data may be involved;
- review provider terms, security, privacy, retention, and data processing practices where relevant;
- assess whether a data processing agreement, subprocessor review, or international transfer assessment is required;
- prefer configurations that prevent customer or Pirsonal data from being used to train external AI models;
- apply human review before using AI-assisted outputs in customer-facing materials.
Pirsonal’s use of AI is managed alongside its broader security, privacy, vendor management, and ISO 27001 governance processes.
Human review
Human review is a core part of Pirsonal’s AI governance.
AI-assisted outputs may be helpful, but they can also be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, unclear, inappropriate, or unsuitable for a specific audience. For that reason, Pirsonal does not treat AI output as automatically approved.
Customer-facing AI-assisted deliverables should be reviewed by a person before use.
Depending on the use case, human review may include checking:
- factual accuracy;
- tone and brand fit;
- customer instructions;
- legal and contractual requirements;
- privacy and confidentiality;
- use of personal data;
- intellectual property;
- image, voice, or likeness rights;
- transparency or disclosure needs;
- potential bias, confusion, or reputational risk;
- suitability for the intended audience and channel.
AI-generated or AI-assisted content
Pirsonal may support the use of AI-assisted content where appropriate, including text, voice, video, image, audio, or creative assets.
Examples may include:
- AI-assisted campaign copy;
- AI-assisted video scripts;
- AI-generated, AI generated Avatars or AI-assisted voice-over;
- AI-assisted image or asset preparation;
- AI-supported content variations;
- AI-assisted internal documentation.
When this type of content is used, Pirsonal evaluates the context. Some uses may require additional review, customer approval, consent, disclosure, labeling, or other safeguards.
This is especially important when AI is used to generate or manipulate voice, image, video, or other content that could reasonably be understood as real or human-created.
Pirsonal assesses these situations based on the specific use case, content type, audience, customer instructions, applicable law, and risk of confusion.
Synthetic voice, image, or video
Pirsonal may support AI-assisted voice, avatars or creative workflows where appropriate and lawful.
However, synthetic or manipulated media can create additional legal, ethical, privacy, and transparency considerations.
Before using AI-generated or AI-assisted voice, image, or video in a customer-facing campaign, Pirsonal may review:
- whether a real person’s likeness, voice, image, or identity is involved;
- whether consent or authorization is required;
- whether the content could mislead the recipient;
- whether disclosure or labeling is appropriate or required;
- whether the content is consistent with the customer’s instructions;
- whether the use case is appropriate for the audience, sector, and channel;
- whether additional contractual or legal review is needed.
Pirsonal does not support deceptive impersonation, misleading deepfakes, or synthetic content designed to manipulate recipients or hide the artificial nature of the content where disclosure is required.
AI providers and vendor review
Pirsonal may use third-party AI providers or tools where appropriate.
Before using AI providers in ways that may involve customer data, personal data, confidential information, or customer-facing deliverables, Pirsonal may review relevant factors such as:
- provider identity;
- purpose of the tool;
- type of AI system;
- data entered into the system;
- whether personal data is processed;
- whether customer data is processed;
- whether the provider uses inputs or outputs for model training;
- data retention practices;
- available data processing agreement;
- subprocessors;
- security measures;
- hosting or processing regions;
- international data transfers;
- deletion or export options;
- contractual restrictions;
- suitability for the intended use case.
AI providers are assessed in proportion to the risk, data involved, customer requirements, and intended use.
High-risk and regulated use cases
Pirsonal’s standard personalized video workflows are typically used for communication, engagement, education, onboarding, campaign activation, and customer or employee experience.
Pirsonal does not support high-risk or regulated AI use cases by default.
A use case may require additional review if it involves:
- employment, recruitment, promotion, or worker evaluation;
- educational access, assessment, admissions, or student evaluation;
- credit, insurance, pricing, eligibility, or risk scoring;
- healthcare, medical advice, or patient triage;
- access to essential public or private services;
- biometric identification or biometric categorization;
- emotion recognition;
- profiling that may materially affect individuals;
- automated decisions with legal or significant effects;
- children, vulnerable groups, or sensitive audiences;
- deceptive synthetic media or impersonation;
- political, legal, financial, or similarly sensitive communications;
- special category personal data or highly confidential information.
Where a use case appears sensitive, regulated, or potentially high risk, Pirsonal may require additional information, customer confirmation, legal review, technical review, or contractual safeguards before proceeding.
EU AI Act and responsible governance
Pirsonal monitors developments related to the EU Artificial Intelligence Act and other relevant laws, guidance, and regulatory expectations.
Pirsonal maintains a proportionate AI governance approach that includes:
- identifying relevant AI uses;
- maintaining an internal AI use inventory;
- classifying AI-related use cases;
- setting acceptable-use rules for employees and collaborators;
- reviewing AI providers where relevant;
- applying human review to customer-facing AI-assisted outputs;
- limiting the use of personal, sensitive, confidential, or customer data in unapproved AI tools;
- assessing transparency and disclosure requirements where AI-generated or AI-assisted content is used;
- training relevant personnel on responsible AI use and AI literacy;
- reviewing new AI-related use cases before implementation where appropriate.
Pirsonal’s approach is designed to be practical and risk-based. The goal is to use AI where it adds value while protecting customers, recipients, employees, data, intellectual property, and trust.
Relationship with ISO 27001 and information security
Pirsonal manages responsible AI use as part of its broader information security and governance environment.
AI-related controls may connect with:
- legal and regulatory compliance;
- risk assessment;
- acceptable use of information and associated assets;
- access control;
- supplier and subprocessor review;
- confidentiality;
- data protection;
- incident management;
- employee awareness and training;
- secure operations;
- customer requirements;
- contract and procurement review.
This means AI is not treated as an isolated topic. It is managed alongside Pirsonal’s existing security, privacy, and operational controls.
Customer responsibilities
Pirsonal works with customers to support responsible, secure, and effective personalized video campaigns.
